As an artist, I strive to make pieces of art that are very ridiculous yet captivating. The reasoning behind my interest in very strange ideas is the fact that being different is what I aim for. Drawing and painting is a really interesting way to express myself because everyone can relate to it in one way or another, either through personal connections or just enjoying obscure things. Drawing is relaxing and I enjoy practicing it when I get the chance, the most challenging part for me being an artist is finding inspiration. Not only inspiration to physically start the image but to get an idea for the image.

    I liked to draw faces for instance myself as a child, a kid in a program from Peru, and my friend Joseph. I usually have to put a lot of time drafting an image before I begin the creation process. If I am drawing an image of a face or an animal of some sort all the dimensions have to be ninety nine percent accurate or I won’t be as satisfied with the finished product. My favourite mediums are gouache and acrylic paint. However I spend more time working with graphite forging drawings and sketches that suit my style. If I am working with pencil crayons I  will incorporate two main colours that will stand out in the piece.

    The art style I am attempting today is more bold and detailed than I would previously, I have learned to add lots of depth and contrast to my pieces, adding lighter lights and darker darks. I realized that the only way to step up my game was to make my artwork more detailed and to pay closer attention to the colours and shades. “ Turned out really well “ means to me that the artwork turned out better than I expected, sometimes the final product will be something completely different than I had anticipated and it still turns out really nicely.
